Accrediting Colleges (Letter by CHEA President Judith Eaton responding to New York Times editorial, October 25, 2016) “The editorial’s concern that, ‘incredibly,’ government cannot ‘dictate’ standards or benchmarks to judge colleges and institutions is, itself, incredible. Accreditation Council Act: Approval a Must for University Degree (Business News 24 BD, October 10, 2016) “The [Bangladesh] Cabinet today approved a law with a provision that no university would be able to offer certificates without the approval of a council to be formed by the government. The approval of Bangladesh Accreditation Council Act-2016 came at a weekly cabinet meeting at the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat.”
